Zhang Xianzhong (September 18, 1606 – January 2, 1647), nicknamed Yellow Tiger, was a leader of a peasant revolt from Yan'an, Shaanxi Province and he later conquered Sichuan in the 17th century. His rule in Sichuan was brief and he was killed by the invading Manchu army. He is commonly associated with the massacres in Sichuan which depopulated the region.

The Xianfeng Emperor was the ninth Emperor of the Qing Dynasty, and the seventh Qing emperor to rule over China, from 1850 to 1861.Yizhu succeeded the throne in 1850, at age 19, and was a relatively young Emperor. He inherited a dynasty that faced not only internal but also foreign challenges. Yizhu's reign title, Xianfeng (咸丰/咸豐), which means "Universal Prosperity", did not reflect the situation. Local rebellions, Opium war, Anglo-French invasion etc, all costed lots of deaths and great damage to the foundation of the Qing dynasty.

On face value, a Zhi Bai Wu Zhu = 100 (Eastern Han) Wu Zhus, but in weight, it was only about 3-4 times of Wu Zhus AT BEST. Thus the Liu Bei government was creating wealth from thin air by casting coins with high nominal value then they actually worth.
